zonic's book nominated for award

Danny 'zonic' Sørensen's book about his personal life and esports career has been nominated for the 'Sportsbook of the Year' by the Association of Danish Sports Journalists - the first book about esports to receive the nomination. The book is listed among other nominees consisting of the biggest sports publications in Denmark this past year.

Danny 'zonic' Sørensen, Head Coach, Astralis

- As someone who is also a passionate fan of traditional sports, it's quite an honor to be nominated in a category where I'm up against some really big names in a year with a lot of good sports literature. It would be fun to beat Niklas Bendtner and his autobiography, but honestly - just being nominated with a book about esports and esports personalities is an honor.

- I was pretty overwhelmed about how this book was received and this nomination further cements the fact that esports is winning some serious territory in the media landscape.

The book, with the Danish title 'Hjernen Bag Astralis' received a warm welcome and a lot of attention in Denmark where Astralis played a big part in esports reaching a mainstream audience. An English version of the book is in production and it is expected it will be released later this spring.
