CRUCIAL CLASH TONIGHT
April 3rd saw Mad Lions taking down G2 3-2 in the first LEC playoffs match. An unexpected upset that makes Origen's match against Fnatic tonight all that more crucial.
A win against Fnatic tonight would mean a spot in the winners' bracket semifinal against Mad Lions. But since G2 has moved to the lower bracket matches and is a higher-seeded team than Origen, a loss to Fnatic would put us near the bottom of the bracket. From there, the road to the grand final is long and tough.
If tonight goes well, Origen moves to Match 5 against Mad Lions and only one more victory away from the finals. If it doesn't, Origen move all the way down to Match 4 where there are two more BO5's and a G2 between them and the final.
Origen and Fnatic have a 1-1 record against each other from the regular split. But for the first time, they face each other in a best-of-five. Two incredibly strong teams with a lot on the line.
