On May 2nd, Astralis won a convincing best-of-three against Team Heretics. This was Astralis' fourth victory and third in a row in Group A of Road to Rio.

  • Dust (16-10)
  • Inferno (16-12)

Danny 'zonic' Sørensen, Head Coach, Astralis:

- Heretics actually played some really good Counter-Strike. They have some upcoming talents that I think people should keep their eyes on. They are playing with no respect of any top team it seems and they made us struggle on our T-side.

- We managed to keep calm and focus on winning one round at a time like we always do. We finished on a really strong CT-side as we did against NiP.

Astralis is in close contention for the top spot in Group A and the gap is slowly closing. Ninjas in Pyjamas still leads the group with a slightly better round differential.

Group A standings

  • 1. Ninjas in Pyjamas (4-1)
  • 2. Astralis (4-1)
  • 3. Heretics (3-2)
  • 4. Vitality (3-2)
  • 5. Fnatic (2-3)
  • 6. ENCE (2-3)
  • 7. Dignitas (1-4)
  • 8. Complexity (1-4)

Astralis plays again on May 5th against Dignitas.
