Regional Major Ranking (RMR)

24 teams will be invited to the ESL One Rio Major (16 directly, 8 for the Major qualifier) and the participants will qualify through regional tournaments determining the teams' Regional Major Ranking (RMR).

The 16 teams from the Berlin Major in 2019 will get a head start on the RMR scoreboard. Astralis won the Berlin Major and will start with the highest amount of points: 800.

Additional points will be awarded in two more RMR-tournaments in the Summer and Fall. The dates for those are yet to be announced. RMR 3 in Fall will award the most point for topping the group to ensure that the qualifying teams are in peak form going into the Rio Major.

Astralis starts Road to Rio with a narrow lead due to their win in Berlin.
