Astralis' league partner ESL has revealed the first 8 teams attending the legendary ESL One Cologne tournament alongside 10 teams who'll have a shot through the play-ins.

ESL One Cologne will run from August 21st - 30th and offers a $1,000,000 prize pool.

The invited teams (ranked by ESL Pro Tour Points) are:

  1. Astralis (3027 pts)
  2. Fnatic (2850 pts)
  3. NAVI (2785 pts)
  4. G2 Esports (2290 pts)
  5. Team Liquid (2032.5 pts)
  6. Mousesports (1910 pts)
  7. 100 Thieves (1595 pts)
  8. FaZe Clan (1542 pts)

The famed ESL One trophy - one of the few not present in Astralis' trophy cabinet.

Astralis won ESL One: Road to Rio in May 2020, but as the tournament was played entirely online as a part of the Major qualification, no trophy was awarded for the victory.

In August, Astralis will be chasing the one trophy still absent in the collection.

The tournament is usually attended by thousands of fans but not this year.

There will be no live attendance for ESL One Cologne this year. Whether or not ESL will be able to host the tournament in the Cologne studio depends on the potential travel restrictions imposed by the European Union in the coming weeks.

Stay tuned for updates regarding, groups, match-ups, format, and much more.
